Pho 79

Visiting Pho 79 was for me a walk down memory lane, and what a joy it was! The first time I tasted Fresh Spring Rolls was when the strip mall at Raymond and Energy Park Drive opened in 1991/92. So I was hoping the taste would be as good as 30 years ago (when I was a student at U of M). It was sooooo good! Delicious and very rich in taste, served with the signature dip sauce that is excellent and a very good combo with the fresh spring rolls We also tried the Pho 79 Pork Egg Rolls, which may be the most crispy fried rolls we have tasted. Quite tasty and well made. A plus to the chef for pre-cutting the rolls before serving them. It may have been a mistake to not order Hu Tieu (chicken broth) or Pho (beef broth) soup, but our choice was the Pho 79 Combination Fried Rice, with pork, chicken, shrimp and vegetables. Tastes great and with the big serving, we had to ask for a box to bring the delicious leftovers with us home. The charming lady that served us kindly told us that the fresh spring roll would be best if eaten before the end of the day (to prevent the moist rice paper to get too dry). Hopefully I can return to Pho 79 soon. It definitely was worth it It should be added that the current owners are not the same as when the Vietnamese restaurant opened over three decades ago. But we were told that they are related and have kept the good food secrets in the family

This is a wonderful place to get some amazing food. Great chill music and excellent service. The signature pork egg rolls were divine as well as the Pho Hue.

My first time here. My sister and mom love this place! They suggested the #54 vegetarian egg roll noodle salad. The sauce/dressing you put on top is delicious. They tell me they cannot find any other place that makes a sauce/dressing that compares! There was plenty of food. The eggrolls were quite large and done to crispy perfection. We went on a Tuesday night, seated immediately and waited on immediately. Not a large place, but plenty of tables to sit at. And was very clean. The service was very attentive, price is reasonable and food very good. Highly recommend this place. As you can see from the great reviews! I’m sure more delicious dishes I need to investigate!

I ordered a Pork Banh Mi sandwich from Pho 79 through their website for pickup today. The sandwich was ready in a reasonable amount of time. The Banh Mi was delicious. The pork had a great flavor to it. All of the vegetables were crisp and fresh. The sandwich was good size for the price. My only complaint is that it didn't have mayo. Every other Banh mi I've had has had mayo. The restaurant was busy when I went in, can't wait to try their pho soon.

Enjoyed lunch with a co-worker and left very satisfied! Ordered Pho Hue - delicious! Our waiter was quick to get our orders - and the food came within 10 minutes. I appreciated the staff coming to check in on us as we ate. A good bowl of Pho if you're looking for a new place to try! Definitely a restaurant I will be back to!

Perfect quick lunch spot. I was in between errands and was so happy Pho 79 was on my way. The pho is hot and flavorful and service is friendly and fast. Had a delicious well priced lunch and was out the door in 30 minutes.

As a person that eats pho at home and at restaurants, this was the cleanest broth I've ever tasted. A small shop but doesn't feel cramped. Service was amazing. We went during lunch time and it was quick service! We had the mini shrimp eggrolls, spring rolls, #0 Pho and the #13 Pho. Their spring roll sauce is AMAZING TOO.
